Jakarta Fair 2026 Begins, Dishub Prepares Traffic Engineering and Alternative Routes in Kemayoran

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Office (Dishub) has prepared traffic engineering, parking bags, and alternative routes during the 2026 Jakarta Fair Kemayoran (JFK) at JIEXPO Kemayoran. This step is taken to anticipate the surge in vehicles that are expected to occur throughout the exhibition which will take place from June 11 to July 12, 2026.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Office Budi Awaluddin said the Kemayoran area was one of the points that had the potential to experience an increase in traffic volume during the Jakarta Fair.

"Jakarta Fair Kemayoran is one of the annual agendas that always attracts a large number of people. Therefore, we have prepared traffic arrangements, parking pockets, and alternative routes to reduce vehicle density around the activity location. We urge people to plan their trip well and use the available public transportation," said Budi in his statement, Thursday, June 11.

To accommodate visitors' vehicles, Dishub has prepared six parking lots around the JIEXPO Kemayoran area. The parking locations are located in Block B-7, Block B-14, Block C-3, Block C-4, MGK Mall, and parking areas within the JIEXPO area.

The total available capacity reaches 4,967 four-wheeled vehicles and 5,650 two-wheeled vehicles. Visitors are asked to use the official parking area that has been provided and not park their vehicles on the road which has the potential to cause congestion.

In addition to regulating private vehicles, Dishub also encourages the public to use public transportation to the Jakarta Fair location. JIExpo Kemayoran area can be accessed through the Commuter Line service with the nearest stations being Pasar Senen, Rajawali, and Kemayoran.

Meanwhile, for the Transjakarta service, a number of regular routes and special services are prepared to transport visitors from various regions of Jakarta and the buffer area.

The services include Corridor 14 routes Senen-JIS, Microtrans JAK24 and JAK33, Transjakarta route 1W, and the main corridors of Transjakarta 2, 4, 7, and 9 which operate up to 24 hours.

Transjakarta also operates a special Jakarta Fair service through routes PRJ2 and PRJ3. On weekdays, this service operates from 14.00 to 23.00 WIB. While on weekends and holidays it operates from 09.00 to 23.00 WIB.

For people from the buffer area, there is also a feeder service from Bogor via route P11, Bekasi via route B25, Tangerang and PIK via route T11, and SH2 service from Soekarno-Hatta Airport which is connected to the Transjakarta network.

To reduce traffic density around the Kemayoran area, Dishub also prepared a number of alternative routes. Road users from Jalan Gunung Sahari to Tanjung Priok can cross Jalan Angkasa-Jalan HBR Motik-Jalan Danau Sunter Barat-Jalan Sunter Permai or Jalan Danau Sunter Utara.

Another alternative is through Jalan Gunung Sahari-Jalan RE Martadinata and so on to the Tanjung Priok area.

Meanwhile, vehicles from Tanjung Priok to Jalan Gunung Sahari towards Senen and Monas can pass through Jalan RE Martadinata before returning to Jalan Gunung Sahari.

During the Jakarta Fair, Dishub officers will be alerted with police elements to carry out traffic arrangements on the ground.

"We invite all people to obey the instructions of field officers, pay attention to the traffic signs that are installed, and prioritize safety while driving. With the cooperation of all parties, we hope that the implementation of the 2026 Jakarta Fair Kemayoran can run smoothly, safely, and comfortably for all people," said Budi.

Dishub also appealed to the public to avoid roads that are potentially congested around the Kemayoran area, especially during peak hours of visits, and adjust travel time to the prevailing traffic conditions.
