Jakarta Fair 2026 Opens, Transjakarta Prepares 3 Direct Routes to JIExpo Kemayoran
JAKARTA - PT Transjakarta has prepared three special routes to JIExpo Kemayoran during the implementation of the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran (JFK) 2026. This step is taken to accommodate the surge in visitor mobility while reducing the use of private vehicles to the event location.
Jakarta Fair Kemayoran is one of the annual agendas that always attracts millions of visitors from Jakarta and the buffer area. The traffic density towards the Kemayoran area is often a challenge during the exhibition.
To anticipate this, Transjakarta operates three routes that are directly connected to JIExpo Kemayoran from a number of strategic points in Jakarta.
Head of the Transjakarta Public Relations and CSR Department, Ayu Wardhani, said that the provision of this service is a form of support for the implementation of the Jakarta Fair as well as an effort to expand the use of public transportation.
"Transjakarta presents various route options that are directly connected to JIExpo Kemayoran so that people can travel more easily, comfortably, and efficiently using public transportation," said Ayu in a statement, Thursday, June 11.
The three routes prepared are the 2C route from the City Hall to JIExpo Kemayoran, the PRJ2 route from Kampung Melayu to JIExpo Kemayoran, and the PRJ3 route from Pulo Gadung to JIExpo Kemayoran. The three services reach a number of densely populated areas such as the City Hall, Monas, Juanda, Kampung Melayu, Jatinegara, Matraman, Salemba, Senen, Cempaka Putih to Pulo Gadung.
In addition to the special Jakarta Fair route, the public can also use the regular Transjakarta service to Kemayoran area, including the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS)-Senen (14) and Blok M-Ancol (1W) routes.
During the Jakarta Fair, special route services will operate every Monday to Friday from 14.00 WIB to 23.00 WIB. Meanwhile, on Saturday and Sunday, services are available earlier starting from 09.00 WIB to 23.00 WIB.
Visitors can use the Transjakarta service to JIExpo Kemayoran with a regular fare of Rp. 3,500. Access to the stop is also supported by integration with other public transportation modes such as the Jakarta MRT, Jakarta LRT, Commuter Line KRL and Mikrotrans.
According to Ayu, the use of public transportation not only facilitates visitors' travel, but also helps reduce traffic density and parking needs around the JIExpo Kemayoran area, which usually increases during the Jakarta Fair.
"We invite people who will visit the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2026 to use the Transjakarta service. In addition to being more practical and economical, using public transportation also helps reduce traffic density around the JIExpo area so that travel becomes more comfortable for all visitors," he added.
