United States Launches New Attack on Iran

JAKARTA - The United States launched a second consecutive attack on several targets in Iran, US CENTCOM said on Wednesday.

US CENTCOM described the attack as a response to "unjustified and ongoing Iranian aggression."

"US Central Command forces began launching additional self-defense attacks today at 17.15 ET against several targets in Iran at the direction of the Supreme Commander," US CENTCOM said in a post on X, CNN reported (11/6).

Earlier on Wednesday, President Donald Trump said the US would launch a wave of additional attacks because an agreement with Iran had not yet been reached.

"We're going to hit them, hit them very hard," President Trump said in the Oval Office of the White House on Wednesday.

"We hit them hard yesterday. We're going to hit them hard again today, if you miss it, if you don't turn on your television, and we'll see what happens with the deal," he explained.

Yesterday's attack came after an Apache helicopter was hit by an Iranian drone, causing the two helicopter crew to land the helicopter in waters off the coast of Oman. A US drone ship then rescued the helicopter crew about two hours later, according to US CENTCOM.
