Prabowo Targets Renovation of 350 Hospitals and Modernization of 10,000 Health Centers in 3 Years

KRUI - President Prabowo Subianto targets massive development and modernization of health facilities in Indonesia. In the next three years, the government will build, renovate, and renovate 350 to 400 hospitals throughout the districts, as well as modernize 10,000 puskesmas.

Prabowo conveyed this commitment when he inaugurated the KH Muhammad Thohir Hospital in Krui, West Coast Regency, Lampung, Thursday (10/6).

According to Prabowo, strengthening health services is an important part of the government's efforts to improve the quality of life of the community.

"We want to build a good, strong economy. We want to manage our natural resources so that they can provide better services to the people," said Prabowo.

He said the government had carried out a national health service modernization program. Currently, almost 1,000 units of modern health equipment have begun to be distributed to regional hospitals in 514 districts and cities.

Prabowo said the government had built 22 RSUDs by 2025. In 2026, the government again targeted the construction of 22 new hospitals.

From the initial stage of construction, as many as 20 hospitals have been completed and have begun providing services to the community.

The President asked all hospitals that have been built to be managed professionally, transparently, and prioritize public service.

"There must be no corruption, there must be no corruption in serving the people," he said.

He added that the construction of health facilities was not only about the number of buildings, but must be able to provide services that can really be felt by the community.
