Kejaksaan Meneliti Pengajuan JC Tersangka Korupsi MBG Sony Sonjaya
JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office stated that it was studying the application for the status of justice collaborator (JC) submitted by the suspect in the case of alleged corruption in the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program management, Sony Sonjaya, while matching the application with the evidence that has been obtained by investigators.
Director of Investigation of the Attorney General's Office for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi said that the JC's request letter from Sony had been received by investigators and is currently in the review stage.
"The letter has been received and is being studied," said Syarief as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 10.
According to him, there is no specific time limit for investigators to determine their position on the request. Investigators will still explore a number of aspects, including matching the information provided by the applicant with the evidence that has been collected during the investigation process.
"Nothing, we first study it and then we check the evidence that has been obtained and others," said Syarief.
The statement marked the latest development in the investigation of the alleged corruption case in the management of the MBG Program at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) for the 2025-2026 period which has ensnared Sony Sonjaya along with two other former BGN officials as suspects.
Previously, Sony's legal advisor, Krisna Murti, revealed that his client expressed a desire to become a justice collaborator while undergoing an examination at the Attorney General's Office on June 4, 2026.
According to him, Sony wants to reveal the parties suspected of being involved in the case as well as explain its position in the case under investigation.
"Last night it was written in the BAP, Mr. Sony will be a justice collaborator," said Krisna.
He explained that the application was filed because his client wanted to provide complete information regarding the parties who were suspected of having a role in the case.
In this case, investigators named Sony Sonjaya along with former BGN officials Dadan Hindayana and Lodewyk Pusung as suspects. The three are suspected of appointing an affiliated foundation illegally as a partner of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) and carrying out procurement of goods and services that are not in accordance with regulations.
Investigators also suspect that there has been a deviation in the distribution of SPPG operational incentives given by BGN of IDR 6 million per day. The three suspects are currently being detained for 20 days for the purposes of investigation.
