Angry at being maligned as a convert through edited photos, Tessa Kaunang said Sandi Tumiwa Pansos
JAKARTA - Actress Tessa Kaunang finally spoke up about her ex-husband Sandi Tumiwa's upload, which featured her wearing a hijab. Tessa objected because the upload led public opinion that she had changed her beliefs or converted to Islam.
"I pray, but in the end, I lead a lot of public opinion to be wrong with the response that I might be considered a convert or what. Well, this is a matter of belief, so it's very sensitive," said Tessa Kaunang in South Jakarta, Tuesday, June 9.
For Tessa, the problem of faith is a private matter that should not be made into content by others, especially by her ex-husband who has long been separated. He felt Sandi was deliberately looking for sensation through him.
"At the end of the day he is a pansos. Because I think I should be calm. Why is my face installed, why not the faces of other exes?," joked Tessa.
Tessa also regretted Sandi's attitude who did not meet her at all or ask for permission first before uploading the edited photo. For him, Sandi's actions were inappropriate.
"There is no permission. Don't talk on the phone or WhatsApp. I've posted it first before talking. I don't need to ask the reason, I know what it means. This is very, very inappropriate to do," he said with disappointment.
So upset, Tessa admitted that she deliberately limited communication with Sandi Tumiwa. He felt that the character of his ex-husband often took advantage of his kindness when given space to communicate.
"I really limit communication with him, because I know his true nature that he asks for a heart if he is given a heart. I just want to keep my peace and my heart so that there is no debate," continued the mother of two.
Sunan Kalijaga as a lawyer added that the noise made by Sandi was very detrimental to his client mentally and his image in public. Many of Tessa's followers are now questioning the truth of her beliefs.
"Someone asked, yes, Ms. Tessa, did Ms. Tessa convert to another religion. Well, this is also what Sandi's brother should think about things that can make a commotion against our client," said Sunan.
Tessa also no longer wants to deal with Sandi personally. He handed over all of the objections to his legal team to be resolved officially in the eyes of the law.
"I don't want to be crowded on social media, because I have my own personal life which I think is sensitive to issues of belief. That's why I'm asking for it to be directly accompanied by the legal team," he concluded.
