Ngaji Teachers and Ponpes Leaders Asked to Prevent Violence and TPPO

Tangerang - Teachers of the Quran, ustadz, ustadzah, and the leaders of pesantren (ponpes) in Tangerang Regency are asked to strengthen efforts to prevent cases of violence and Human Trafficking (TPPO).

This collaboration is considered crucial to reduce the number of crimes targeting women and children to the grassroots.

The Regent of Tangerang, Moch Maesyal Rasyid, emphasized that handling cases of violence and human trafficking cannot only rely on law enforcement officers alone, but must be done together through massive inter-line collaboration.

"We ask for help from the teachers of the Quran, ustadz, ustadzah, and managers of boarding schools, let's join hands to prevent criminal offenses. Never get tired and tired of continuing to educate the community," said Moch Maesyal Rasyid in Tangerang, Wednesday, June 10.

According to Maesyal, violence against women and children and human trafficking are not only criminal acts or ordinary violations of the law. This heinous act is a human tragedy that injures the norms of life that exist in society.

"If there is an incident like this, it is not just a criminal or legal matter. The issue of violence is not just a criminal law violation, but a human tragedy that injures religious norms," he said.

Maesyal also highlighted the case of domestic violence (KDRT) which is reported to continue to increase every year. This negative trend must really be a concern for all parties to be suppressed and dealt with seriously in order to reduce the fall of new victims.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Tangerang Regency Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Agency (DP3A), Asep Suherman, explained that synergy between strategic partners and the community would create a safe and friendly environment for women and children.

Currently, socialization of prevention of violence against women and TPPO is also being vigorously strengthened.

"The purpose of this activity is to increase awareness and the active role of ustaz, ustazah, and pesantren in efforts to prevent violence against women and children and TPPO through strengthening knowledge, vigilance, public education, and synergy with local governments and various stakeholders," said Asep.
