Maruarar Sirait: Government Prepares State Land for People's Houses
Jakarta - Minister of Housing and Spatial Planning (PKP) Maruarar Sirait emphasized that the government has begun preparing state land for the construction of houses for low-income people (MBR) and the middle-income or vulnerable poor group.
The scheme can use the state budget, corporate social responsibility funds, or CSR, as well as other financing combinations. This was conveyed by Maruarar Sirait to reporters at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 9 after meeting President Prabowo Subianto.
The utilization of state assets for public housing, according to Maruarar, will begin this year. According to Ara, the housing that will be built can be rented or sold, depending on the scheme prepared by the government.
Ara also touched on the 30-hectare land in Meikarta which was donated by the Lippo Group through Mochtar Riady. The project is said to have passed the land clearing and first stone laying stages.
Minister Ara hopes that the public can start ordering or making purchase agreements by the end of this year.
