The development and modernization project of the Assembagoes Sugar Factory, Situbondo, East Java, was carried out from 2016 to 2022.
The project, which is part of the state-owned enterprise's strategic program, received funding from the State Capital Participation (PMN) of IDR 650 billion and additional loans of more than IDR 462 billion.
However, the project failed to meet several key targets, such as milling capacity, product quality, and electricity production for export.
Until now, the investigators of the Corruption Tipikor Directorate of the National Police are still investigating the case and have not named any suspects.
