Earn the 12th WTP, Kaltara Emphasizes Commitment to Manage People's Money Transparently

TANJUNG SELOR - The North Kalimantan Provincial Government (Kaltara) has again received a Fair Opinion without Exception (WTP) from the Financial Audit Agency (BPK) for the Regional Government Financial Report (LKPD) for the 2025 Fiscal Year. This achievement is the 12th for the North Kalimantan Provincial Government.

The WTP opinion was received directly by the Governor of North Maluku, Zainal A. Paliwang, in the agenda of the Submission of the Results of the BPK RI Inspection Report (LHP) for the 2025 North Maluku Provincial LKPD at the North Maluku DPRD Building, Monday, June 8.

Governor Zainal expressed gratitude for this achievement. According to him, the WTP opinion is an indicator that the management of regional finances has been carried out in accordance with the principles of transparency, accountability, and compliance with applicable provisions.

"Alhamdulillah, we are grateful for the achievement of this WTP Opinion. However, the results of this examination are also used as a material for evaluation to continue to improve governance and improve the quality of regional financial accountability," said Zainal.

He emphasized that the WTP opinion was not merely an award, but rather a part of the supervision and evaluation mechanism that was important to realize effective, clean, and community-oriented government governance.

According to Zainal, the management of regional budgets must be carried out transparently and responsibly because every budget used is a trust that must be accounted for to the public.

On this occasion, the Governor also expressed his appreciation to the Head of the State Financial Examination Education and Training Agency BPK RI, Raden Yudi Ramdan Budiman, who handed over the LHP for the 2025 Fiscal Year Kaltara Provincial LKPD.

Gratitude was also expressed to the BPK, the Kaltara DPRD, and all regional apparatuses that have supported the smooth process of examination.

"We thank you for your hard work, integrity, and professionalism in carrying out a comprehensive and objective examination of the 2025 LKPD," he said.

Zainal assessed that the BPK not only carried out the function of audit, but also became a strategic partner of the government in strengthening good governance. Therefore, the North Kalimantan Provincial Government is committed to following up on all findings and recommendations submitted by the BPK in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.

"The report we received today is not just an administrative document, but a reflection of accountability and transparency in the management of regional finances. We will follow up on each recommendation with full responsibility," he said.

With this 12th WTP achievement, the North Kalimantan Provincial Government hopes that public confidence in regional financial management will increase, in line with the government's commitment to continue to strengthen accountability, transparency, and the quality of services to the community.
