Segel Dibuka Purbaya, Tagihan Tiffany & Co Rp97,49 Miliar Jatuh Tempo Akhir Juni

JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) said that the customs bill that must be paid by Tiffany & Co worth Rp97.49 billion will be due at the end of June 2026.

Director of Communication and Guidance for Service Users DJBC Nirwala Dwi Heryanto said the audit process for the luxury jewelry company had been completed.

"Yes, it has been audited. That's why yesterday it was reopened. Because the Minister (Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa) is very supportive for entrepreneurs who want to try to obey," said Nirwala as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 9.

As is known, the Customs Service issued a Customs Determination Letter of IDR 97.49 billion. This value consists of administrative sanctions in the form of fines of IDR 78.50 billion and other tax and customs obligations of around IDR 18.99 billion which include import duties, value added tax (VAT), and income tax (PPh).

"The deadline is at the end of this month," he said.

Three Tiffany & Co outlets that were previously sealed have now reopened. The seal opening was carried out after the customs audit was completed and there was no longer a need to close access to the outlet.

The three outlets are located at Plaza Senayan, Plaza Indonesia, and Pacific Place, Jakarta.

As previously reported, the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa opened the seal of the Tiffany & Co store at Plaza Indonesia after the company stated its willingness to fulfill the customs obligations set by the government.

"The person concerned has committed to comply with all applicable laws and regulations," said Purbaya.

Tiffany & Co was previously sealed by the DJBC for violations of the import of goods that have not been notified and the completion of customs obligations.

Tiffany & Co itself has expressed its willingness to fulfill all of these obligations, including the payment of the administrative penalties imposed.
