Kemenkes-BGN Godok Ahli Gizi Dewan Pengarah BGN

JAKARTA - Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said his party was determining who would be appointed as a nutritionist on the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Board of Directors.

"I have talked to BGN, now it has been prepared and BGN is determining with the Ministry of Health who the expert is," said Minister of Health Budi, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 9.

Previously, the Head of the BGNNanik S Deyang said that his party would involve nutrition experts and pediatricians in the BGN Board of Directors to support the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program.

"From the National Nutrition Agency, there is a Board of Directors. In the Board of Directors, we will fill it with nutrition experts and also pediatricians," said Nanik at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday (9/6).

Nanik explained that the Board of Directors is part of the BGN structure since the institution was formed. The council will later be tasked with providing direction and guidance to the BGN leadership in carrying out the agency's programs.

According to him, the BGN Board of Directors will consist of seven people. Of these, about five people have the opportunity to come from the ranks of nutrition experts.

In addition to nutrition experts, the Board of Directors will also be filled by pediatricians to strengthen the aspects of nutritional and health fulfillment in the implementation of the MBG Program.

The presence of the Board of Directors, said Nanik, will be part of the mechanism of assistance to the BGN leadership in carrying out the institution's duties and responsibilities.

Nanik said on Thursday (4/6), his party was committed to improving the governance of the MBG Program.

A number of things that will be done are to temporarily suspend the construction of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG), refocusing (adjustment) of beneficiaries, then a moratorium on new point kitchens, renovation of existing kitchens that have been established and operating to meet standards to produce quality food.

Nanik was inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto as the new Head of BGN to replace Dadan Hindayana.
