OTT Bupati Muara Enim Disebut KPK Hasil Investigasi Bareng Kortas Tipikor Polri

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that the hand-in-hand operation (OTT) that ultimately named Muara Enim Regent Edison as a suspect was the result of a joint investigation with the National Police's Corruption Eradication Task Force (Kortas Tipikor).

KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said that 10 people were secured in OTT in the South Sumatra and Jakarta regions on Monday, June 8.

Of that number, it is reported that four suspects have been named as suspects, including Edison. The determination was made through an expose forum or a case title last night at the anti-corruption commission's office.

"We need to convey that in this closed investigation activity, the KPK conducted a joint investigation with the Polri Tipikor Court," Budi told reporters at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, June 9.

Budi said that the parties who were secured, including the four suspects, were still undergoing examination. But, from the initial findings, it was suspected that there was a grant related to procurement in Muara Enim Regency.

In this silent operation, the team in the field also secured a number of evidence including foreign currency money in the form of dollar and riyal currencies. However, Budi did not want to provide complete information.

He said information related to the silent operation and the modus operandi would be conveyed through a press conference.

"Later we will convey in full how the construction of this case, the parties who are closed as suspects, who were then detained. We will convey in full in this afternoon's press conference."
