Challenged to be an Executive Producer, Irish Bella: Pusing Mikirin Angka

JAKARTA - Long seen adorning the screen as a soap opera actor, actress Irish Bella brought a surprising news. This mother of two officially introduced her new behind-the-scenes profession as Executive Producer for the HAS Pictures production house in the film Dosa Penebusan or Forgiveness.

Irish recognizes this change in role as part of her current life journey. She chose to limit her activities in front of the camera to focus on taking care of her family, while exploring business potential in the entertainment industry with her husband.

"Alhamdulillah, it's just fate. Maybe now I'm married, I finally want to focus more on my family. And I was also given trust by my husband who happens to have a production house too," said Irish Bella when met in Jakarta, Monday, June 8.

Initially, HAS Pictures was more active on the digital platform. However, after meeting the right creative partners, Irish dared to venture into the big screen.

"At first, we were big on YouTube, but when I met Mas Sondang and Mas Reza, I ended up getting into the film. And finally, I was also supported by my husband so that I could advance because my husband was more into business," he continued.

Serving as an executive producer turned out to be a challenge that was far different from when he was the main actor. Irish admitted that he had to learn a lot of new things in a short time to accompany his production house's first film.

"The challenge is a lot because this is a new thing for me. A lot to learn. What was maybe just in front of the camera, now it turns out that behind the camera there are a lot of (things to be taken care of). Like an orchestra, and this is the one who leads it, right," said the woman who is familiarly called Ibel.

Irish's totality was tested when she had to understand the entire production process in depth. Not only the big vision business, he even participated in monitoring operational details at the shooting location, which had escaped his attention as an actress.

"So many things are taken care of, from big things to small things like catering and all sorts. Things like that are all peeled off. So of course it's a big responsibility, but it's very exciting," said Irish enthusiastically.

Although he admitted that he missed the atmosphere of filming, Irish firmly refused to appear as a cameo in his first film. He felt that his energy had been exhausted for thinking about the managerial and financial aspects of production.

"No, this time (to be a cameo). No, I think the number is dizzy. Do you want to play? No, no, take care of this, it's dizzy. So focus more on other friends," he concluded.

HAS Pictures is expected to be a new platform for Irish Bella to continue working. He also hopes that his first film will receive full support from the public and lovers of Indonesian films.

"I am definitely very happy with the presence of all media friends, ask for support for our first film. Hopefully this is not the first and last project," he concluded.
