JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that light rain is likely to fall in major cities in Indonesia, on Tuesday (9/6).
BMKG weather practitioner Lintang Alya N said in a statement quoted in Jakarta, Tuesday, the big cities that are expected to experience light rain are Banda Aceh, Medan, Pekanbaru, Padang, Jambi, Bengkulu, Palembang, Pangkal Pinang, Pontianak, Tanjung Selor, Samarinda, and Palangkaraya.
"Then there is the potential for light rain in Gorontalo, Palu, Mamuju, Ternate, Sorong, Manokwari, Nabire, Jayapura, and Ambon," he said.
Lintang added that there was the potential for lightning in Tanjung Pinang, and the potential for cloudy to cloudy in Banjarmasin, Jakarta, Serang, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya, as well as the potential for hazy air in Bandar Lampung.
For eastern Indonesia, it is necessary to be aware of the potential for moderate rain in Manado.
