Danantara: Telkom will close 12-14 of its children
Head of the State-Owned Enterprise Regulation Agency (BP BUMN) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Danantara Dony Oskaria said PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) will carry out liquidation or close 12-14 of its subsidiaries.
"The one who was liquidated was 12 or 14. I forgot, I'll check it later," said Dony when met by Antara, after attending a Working Meeting (Raker) with Commission VI of the DPR RI at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday, June 8.
Dony guarantees that the closure of Telkom subsidiaries will not lead to layoffs, because employees will be consolidated with other Telkom subsidiaries.
"Let's say like fiber optic, it will be consolidated there are several companies that are one. Right, the size is big, the employees are involved. There are many mergers," said Dony.
PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) in the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) agreed to replace two board of commissioners, as an effort to strengthen the foundation of leadership in overseeing and overseeing the transformation agenda and facing the dynamics of the digital industry.
Telkom President Director Dian Siswarini said the decisions taken in the RUPST reflect the company's commitment to continue improving performance and creating added value.
Telkom also approved the distribution of cash dividends worth IDR 21.9 trillion for the 2025 financial year.
In addition, shareholders also approved the plan for a share buyback program (repurchase) of the company's shares with a maximum value of IDR 4 trillion.
On another occasion, BP BUMN together with Danantara also agreed to accelerate the streamlining process of the Telkom Group by reducing 67 Telkom subsidiaries to 19 entities by the end of 2026 to strengthen its role as a national digital strategic holding.
A number of priority programs are also being accelerated, including the consolidation of the State-Owned Enterprise FiberCo, the development of Data Center, TowerCo, and InfraCo, as well as the arrangement of Telkom Group licenses to support the transformation towards a more adaptive and globally competitive digital strategic holding.
Through this transformation, BP BUMN together with Danantara continues to encourage the strengthening of governance, asset optimization, and the consolidation of the national digital ecosystem so that BUMNs are more agile, healthy, and able to become the driving force for Indonesia's digital economy in the future.
