Elizabeth Tunggadewi Raises Environmental Issues through her First Mini Album

JAKARTA - The winner of Indonesia's Girls 2024, Elizabeth Tunggadewi, has taken a step further in her career as a public figure by releasing an environmental-themed mini album.

This musical work is not merely a showcase in the vocal industry, but a manifestation of Dewi's concern - her nickname - for nature, the world of education, and social issues that she has been dealing with.

The launch of this work feels special because it coincides with the momentum of the World Environment Day which falls on Saturday, June 6, yesterday.

Through a series of songs such as "Rumah Belajar Ciliwung Ceria", "Langkah Kakiku", "Cerita Alam Bumi Pertiwi", and "Yuk Pilah Sampah", Dewi tries to build collective awareness. He realized that music has great power as an effective medium of education for the younger generation.

One of the featured numbers, "Langkah Kakiku", is an authentic reflection of Dewi's closeness to nature.

"The song 'Langkah Kakiku' tells the story of my journey exploring nature and rivers while enjoying the beauty of nature," said Dewi at the launch of her new mini album.

Dewi's interest in river conservation is not new. He is listed as the founder of the Ciliwung Ceria Learning House, an educational community operating in the Ciliwung River area.

The experience of interacting directly with children in the community was then immortalized in a song with the same title. For Dewi, the song serves as a warm memorial space about the spirit of learning.

"The song tells how exciting it is to study at the Ciliwung Ceria Learning House. I hope this song can become a memory for children and remind them of a fun learning experience," he added.

With the launch of this mini album, Dewi proves that young people can combine artistic creativity with real action. He hopes that the positive message in the lyrics of the song is able to touch the emotional side of the listener so that they are more concerned about the sustainability of the earth.

"I hope these environmental themed songs can invite the younger generation and the community to build awareness in maintaining nature. Not only enjoying pop music, but also songs that carry positive messages about the environment," he concluded.

Through this mini album, Elizabeth Tunggadewi not only offers harmony of melody, but also invites the public to participate in maintaining environmental sustainability for a greener future.
