BGN Board of Directors to be filled with nutrition experts and pediatricians

Head of BGN Nanik S. Deyang said the BGN Board of Directors will be filled with professionals, especially nutritionists and pediatricians. They will be technical references in the implementation of nutritious meal programs.

Nanik said the BGN's organizational structure has a Board of Directors. Of the seven members, the majority will be filled with nutrition experts.

"Maybe among the seven people, five of them are nutrition experts," Nanik said at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Monday, June 8.

According to Nanik, the presence of experts is needed so that the BGN policy is not only administrative, but also strong in terms of science.

Nanik also clarified the issue of foundations involved in the program. He said that social foundations were indeed a priority when BGN was formed, but in terms of technical instructions there were no special provisions restricting the affiliation of schools or foundations.
