BGN Search Non-APBN Scheme for MBG Kitchen, Investor and Grant Open

Head of BGN Nanik S. Deyang opened the opportunity for funding nutritious meal kitchens outside the APBN. The government will explore cooperation with investors and possible foreign grants.

Nanik said there were investors who built kitchens in a number of areas. For areas that have not been touched by investors, BGN will look for other patterns of cooperation.

"We will try to reduce the use of the state budget," Nanik said at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday, June 8.

He said the kitchen model did not have to be built new by the government. In certain areas, existing facilities can be used if they meet the needs.

Nanik gave an example of remote areas such as small islands with very few students. In such conditions, a canteen or communal kitchen can be an alternative.

"It doesn't have to build a new kitchen so that it doesn't use all the state budget," he said.
