Carry the Nuance of Broadway, NPD Collaboration with Iqbaal Ramadhan and Rio Alief in a New Single
JAKARTA - The rising trio from Jakarta, New Pusat Dunia (NPD), is again enlivening the music scene in the country by releasing their latest single titled "I Love You But You Love Me More".
The launch of this new work was carried out after the trio consisting of Kev Luqman, Niky Putra, and Mario Caesar successfully caught the public's attention through their previous song titled "Sempurnanya Aku".
Different from the color of music in previous works, this time NPD chose to explore a more magnificent and varied arrangement.
In their latest single, the trio presents a jazz pop and big band composition that is thick with a dynamic brass section as if it were a broadway musical performance. This arrangement format was deliberately chosen to provide fresh energy that is more positive and enjoyable for listeners.
In the process of working in the recording studio, the trio of Kev, Niky, and Mario acted directly as songwriters and producers, accompanied by Rey Tobing and Peter Lawdenk.
Interestingly, the work on this music project also involves a number of names in the Indonesian music industry. NPD collaborates with former Coboy Junior member, Iqbaal Ramadhan, to fill the acoustic guitar department. In addition, the drum playing on this song is filled by Rio Alief.
To strengthen vocal harmony, the position of the vocal arranger was given to Barsena Bestandhi, while the background vocal section was entrusted to Kimberly Angwen and Sonia Dara.
Narratively, the song "I Love You But You Love Me More" tells the dynamics of a love affair that focuses on a person's confidence in his charm. However, in the course of the romance, this figure realizes that his partner actually has a much deeper love.
The launch of this single is also the opening gate for a series of other projects that NPD is preparing for the future.
