Motul Provides Updates for 2-Stroke Motorcycle Lubricants that Make Smoke Minimized

JAKARTA - Premium lubricant manufacturer Motul has revamped its two-stroke (2T) lubricant line by introducing updates to the Motul 510 2T and Motul 710 2T products. This step is part of the company's commitment to providing products that are in line with engine technology developments while meeting the needs of motorcycle users in Indonesia.

The update focuses on improving product specifications which now meet the latest JASO FD M345 standards. This standard from Japan is one of the important references in testing two-stroke engine lubricants because it assesses four main aspects.

The four aspects are lubrication ability (lubricity), cleaning power (detergency), smoke reduction, and deposit control. Compared to the previous specification, JASO FC, the JASO FD standard is the highest level that offers better performance in maintaining cleanliness and protecting the engine.

"This upgrade or update is because Motul always adapts to the latest and highest standards, which aims to ensure consumers get optimal engine protection, consistent performance, and a more comfortable driving experience in daily use and high performance needs," said Managing Director of PT Motul Indonesia Energy (MIE) Welmart Purba, quoted from the official statement, Monday, June 8.

According to Welmart, this product update is also accompanied by the implementation of the latest visual identity which follows Motul's global guidelines. "The product update mechanism will be carried out gradually through a phase in, phase out scheme so that the distribution process runs smoothly throughout the Motul sales network in Indonesia," he continued.

For daily use, Motul 510 2T is equipped with a formulation designed to provide optimal protection against engine wear. The formula helps keep vehicle performance stable while extending the life of engine components.

This product is also claimed to be able to maintain engine response when faced with urban traffic conditions and daily driving activities. In addition, the Anti-Smoke technology with low smoke formula helps reduce excess smoke emissions so that the combustion process takes place more cleanly and comfortably.

Meanwhile, Motul 710 2T is intended for users who need higher performance. Relying on a 100 percent Synthetic Ester formula, this lubricant is designed to provide maximum protection against engine wear, including when working at high revs and more extreme driving conditions.

Its performance characteristics are also claimed to be able to reduce internal engine friction so that acceleration feels more responsive, power is optimally channeled, and vehicle performance remains stable. On the other hand, the embedded Anti-Smoke technology helps minimize the formation of smoke and deposits so that engine cleanliness can be maintained in long-term use.
