Note, Patuh Jaya Operation Postponed, Police: Routine Actions Still Running
JAKARTA - The Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of the Metro Jaya Police has postponed the implementation of the Patuh Jaya Operation, but ensures that daily traffic enforcement and supervision of violators of rules on the road will continue as normal as usual.
"Patuh operations are postponed, routine activities run as usual," said Director of Traffic of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Komarudin, in his statement in Jakarta, Monday.
He explained that the public should not assume that the delay in the Patuh Jaya Operation means a loosening of supervision in the field. The police still prioritize the three main pillars in maintaining daily traffic order, namely preemptive, preventive, and law enforcement activities.
According to him, daily law enforcement still targets violators of the rules, both through electronic systems and direct actions persuasively.
"Law enforcement such as ETLE (Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement) static and mobile, sympathetic reprimands, to fines for violations that have the potential to threaten safety are still carried out," said Komarudin.
Regarding the reasons for the delay and the new schedule for the implementation of the Patuh Jaya Operation, he did not elaborate further, including regarding the preparation for Hari Bhayangkara. However, he ensured that the special-scale operation was only waiting for the right time.
"Operation activities are included in the annual activity plan, it's just a matter of time," said Komarudin.
On the other hand, the ranks of the Traffic Police of the Metro Jaya Police appealed to all levels of society not to ignore safety and remain obedient to traffic rules for the sake of common interests and safety on the road.
Previously, the Metro Jaya Police Traffic Directorate deployed a total of 2,798 joint personnel in the implementation of the Patuh Jaya 2026 Operation which was held simultaneously from June 8 to 21, 2026.
Komarudin said the 14-day regional operation carried the theme "The realization of a safe and secure Kamseltibcarlantas" to respond to the growth of vehicles in Jakarta which reached 3 percent.
"With the rapid growth of vehicle numbers, compliance from drivers is needed. We also involve the TNI, Transportation Office, and Satpol PP," said Komarudin.
