Float Brings Full Energy Fun in New Single, The Mirror Song (Constant Changes)

JAKARTA - Following the release of two previous singles, Emily and Dimabuk Cahaya, Float emits a different energy in the third single. Titled The Mirror Song (Constant Changes), this indie quartet is like entering a new dimension.

Float is not just a regular musical work, but an emotional record that celebrates the process of growing up and accepting oneself.

In terms of musicality, this is a refreshing anomaly from Float's discography. Coming with a very upbeat tempo, there is a fun and energetic energy. Timur (Drummer) calls it a new exploration.

"This tempo is probably the fastest tempo of all Float songs. This is a friend of 'Stupido Ritmo' if it's from Binsar's bassline. It's fun, and I can't wait to bring it live," said Timur.

Behind the cheerful tone, this song carries the DNA of poetic lyrics typical of Float which is dominated by the collaboration of Hotma "Meng" Roni Simamora (vocalist) and Binsar Tobing (bassist). The lyrics contain a reflection that humans often do not realize the evolution within themselves.

"The lyrics tell the story of the changes in ourselves, which takes a very long time, so that we never feel that the process is happening. All the lessons from everyday life prepare us, until one day we are faced with a problem that we think we can't handle, it turns out to be possible," explained Meng.

The theme about accepting change and continuing to move is very deep for David Qlintang (Guitarist). For him, this song is a personal reminder of his journey raising his son, Arel, who has ADHD.

"This song answers concerns about the future. In the future, we don't have to think about anything, we just go. This is what makes me, and maybe other parents, still enthusiastic," said David.

With a new spirit and tour point, Float is always present to offer a safe space to contemplate, rest for a moment, then get back up. The song ""The Mirror Song (Constant Changes)"" was released simultaneously on all Digital Streaming Platforms (DSP).
