Gus Ipul: Sekolah Rakyat Tak Buka Pendaftaran, Siswa Dicari Langsung ke Lapangan
TABANAN - Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf or Gus Ipul revealed that the People's School does not use the pattern of student admission like schools in general. The government instead directly approached prospective students from poor and vulnerable families who have been difficult to access education.
This was conveyed by Gus Ipul when accompanying President Prabowo Subianto to review the 17 Tabanan Elementary People's School (SRMP), Bali, Sunday (7/6).
According to Gus Ipul, the government does not open general registration. Prospective students are reached directly based on the National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN) and the results of updates in the field.
"They are reached. So they do not open the registration of the People's School, but reach out to those who meet the criteria," said Gus Ipul.
He emphasized that the student admission process must be free from any form of patronage or collection.
"There must be no bribes, no paying, no entrustment from anyone," he said.
Gus Ipul said that the pattern was applied so that the program really targeted the community groups that needed it most.
According to Gus Ipul, the People's School is part of the government's efforts to open access to education for children from poor families who have often been left out of formal education services.
