Kidung by RWD Presents Experimental Aesthetics and Discourse at ArtMoments Jakarta 2026
Kidung by RWD, an independent, artist-managed, and progressive art space from Yogyakarta, announced its participation in ArtMoments Jakarta 2026.
Responding to the curatorial theme "Offerings", this presentation invites collectors and art connoisseurs to delve into works that are born from the rigor of research, cross-disciplinary intersection, and technical mastery.
"The works presented by Kidung by RWD at ArtMoments Jakarta 2026 are the crystallization of critical thinking, medium disruption, and the archive of contemporary civilization."
"These artists have formulated an experimental aesthetic, ensuring that the narrative of contemporary culture will continue to be sustainable and celebrated," said exhibition writer Sudjud Dartanto.
The exhibition highlights six progressive artists:
R Wisnu D (Impressionist Concept-Driven Artist)Wisnu demonstrates his mastery by constructing psychological architecture; capturing the depth of emotion, memory, and play of light.
Rooted in direct exploration of various leading museums in Asia, America, and Europe, his work merges the sharpness of the technique of classical European fine art with the wisdom of the Nusantara visual philosophy.
Digie Sigit (Street Art)Bringing the energy of grassroots resistance into the gallery space, Sigit uses a stencil technique with high contrast as a weapon of communication and solidarity.
His work is a medium of sharp criticism of social justice; an authentic artifact of street resistance history.
Rajoso Bayu Wicaksono (Photography/Mixed Media)Rajoso deconstructs reality radically by overpainting the surface of his photographic works with acrylic paint.
From this ontological clash, the alter ego 'Seriboyo' was born, an aesthetic breakthrough that aggressively dismantles the dogma of visual truth and presents the distortion of reality.
Hani Santana (Abstract Expressionism)Incorporating his musical experience into the visual realm, Hani translates harmony and rhythm into textured impasto canvases worked with absolute courage.
Carrying the philosophy of "collaborating with the universe", his paintings are fragments of cosmic energy that are stopped in motion on the canvas.
Born from the collision of the background of Mechanical Engineering and the anarchy of the underground music scene, Bofags offers an eccentric visual lexicon.
His seemingly experimental works are clever narrative camouflage that conceals sharp social criticism regarding the irony of modern urban society.
Tune Tone Toon (Pop Art)Emphasizing the credo of the death of the author, TTT chooses absolute anonymity in the midst of an art market that often deifies the figure of the artist.
Blending pop culture iconography with spiritual elements, his work exudes extreme color saturation that offers escapism and pure happiness.
