Martian Celebrates Heartbreak with New Single "Amin"
JAKARTA - Martian marked a new chapter in their musical journey by holding an intimate showcase titled "Celebrating Broken Hearts: Amin" which was held at Coma M Bloc Space, South Jakarta, on Friday, June 5.
The showcase was dedicated to celebrating and introducing the latest work, a touching single titled "Amin".
The Martian, which was led by Hafiz Pribadi (vocals), Otto (guitar), Monty (guitar), Agung Prabowo (bass), Morris (drums), and Adyansah Sudwi (kibor) performed in front of hundreds of fans. Before the main menu was served, the warm atmosphere of the evening was opened through the performances of Rayremar and Mrnmrs.
The main focus of this showcase is the single "Amin", a song that tells the inner struggle of someone who harbors deep love for his own best friend.
Martian keenly photographed the friendzone phenomenon that often occurs in society. This song describes how admiration for the small details of the best friend, such as a knot smile and a long black dress, slowly turns into a feeling that is difficult to control.
Through his lyrics, Martian wants to voice an emotional dilemma. Instead of boldly declaring love and ruining friendships, the character in this song chooses to give in to circumstances. He chooses to survive as a loyal listener while burying his feelings tightly.
Martian vocalist Hafiz Pribadi said that their latest work is a crystallization of sincerity and sincerity. The title "Amin" itself was chosen not without reason, but rather a representation of the best prayers for the happiness of loved ones, even though that happiness does not involve us.
"The song 'Amin' was born from feelings that many people may have experienced, when we choose to keep feelings and can only pray for someone's happiness from a distance," said Hafiz.
"We are happy to finally be able to share this story directly with the listeners through tonight's showcase. Hopefully this song can represent the feelings of many people and become a friend for those who have experienced similar stories," he added.
Through emotional arrangements and honest lyrics, this single confirms Martian's ability to process personal narratives into a multi-interpretable public consumption that still feels close.
For music lovers who were unable to attend the intimate showcase, the audio material from Martian's latest work can be enjoyed and accessed through various digital music service platforms.
