PLN Ensures Maintenance of Electrical Substations Does Not Disrupt PAM Jaya Clean Water Service

JAKARTA - PLN Distribution Parent Unit (UID) Greater Jakarta ensures that the maintenance of the electrical substation that supplies PAM Jaya's operational facilities does not interfere with clean water services to Jakarta residents.

Maintenance is carried out on the distribution substation which is a supplier of electricity for the water processing and distribution facilities owned by PAM Jaya. To prevent service interruptions, PLN has prepared a backup supply scheme during the work.

General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya Moch. Andy Adchaminoerdin said that maintenance work was carried out with a non-shutdown method so that public service operations could continue.

"PLN not only focuses on the reliability of electricity supply, but also ensures that every maintenance work can be carried out without disrupting the vital services needed by the community," Andy said in a statement, Sunday, June 7.

PLN and PAM Jaya have coordinated since the planning stage to the implementation of the work. The results of the joint technical study produced a scheme to secure the electricity supply, including the provision of a Mobile Cable Unit (UKB) as a backup supply during the maintenance process.

This step makes the clean water processing and distribution facilities continue to operate so that customers are not affected during the work.

"Maintenance of the Distribution Substation that supplies electricity to PAM Jaya is carried out with the method Without Power. This synergy with PAM JAYA is a manifestation of our commitment in providing reliable, safe, and sustainable services to support the quality of life of the people of Jakarta," said Andy.

PLN UP3 Menteng Manager Hendratua P. Manurung said inter-agency coordination was the main factor so that technical work could run without disrupting services to the community.

"We understand that clean water services are basic needs of the community that must be maintained. Therefore, PLN coordinates intensively with PAM Jaya to ensure that maintenance work on the electrical substation can be carried out safely while maintaining the continuity of electricity supply that supports the operation of clean water services," said Hendra.

PAM Jaya acknowledged that PLN's support helped maintain the continuity of water treatment facilities during the work.

"We appreciate PLN UP3 Menteng's support in carrying out this work. Through good coordination and support from the Mobile Cable Unit (UKB), the operation of the PAM Jaya facility can continue to run well so that the clean water service to customers is maintained. We hope that collaborations like this can continue to be developed to support the best service to the community," explained Senior Manager of the PAM Jaya Production Division, Aly Sunandar.

The collaboration is an example of synergy between public service providers in maintaining basic public services. On the one hand, PLN can carry out maintenance of electrical infrastructure to maintain system reliability. On the other hand, the distribution of clean water to PAM Jaya customers continues without interruption.
