Parno, Israeli Soldier Killed a 7-Month-Old Palestinian Baby by Hitting 1 Car
JAKARTA - Israeli soldiers fired shots at a car in the West Bank, resulting in the death of a 7-month-old Palestinian baby and injuring his parents.
CNN International reported that the baby named Sam Fahd Abu Haykal was in the car with his parents when an Israeli soldier fired at the vehicle near the city of Hebron, in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian West Bank.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that the bloody incident that the Gaza residents experienced again due to the Israeli military occurred on Friday, June 5.
The baby's grandmother, Firyal Abu Haykal, said that a bullet hit their car, which immediately killed the baby.
"This incident is unbelievable and unacceptable," he told Reuters.
"We are disadvantaged just because we decided to stay in our homes," he continued.
The Israeli military alias IDF in its statement admitted that Israeli soldiers "felt" a vehicle coming towards them.
Back to being unprofessional, parno or paranoid and repressive without caring about the lives of civilians, an Israeli soldier then fired one shot at the vehicle.
The Israeli army acknowledged that the injured victim was an "uninvolved civilian."
They added that the bloody incident was being investigated by the Israeli military.
A similar incident had occurred earlier. In March 2026, four members of a Palestinian family, including two boys aged 5 and 7 years old, who were driving late at night after breaking the Ramadan fast, were shot dead by the Israeli military in the West Bank.
