Banda Aceh Goes Crazy, COVID-19 Cases Rise And Return To Red Zone
JAKARTA - The city of Banda Aceh has returned to the COVID-19 red zone status after an increase in cases after Eid al-Fitr. The public is reminded to continue to be aware of the spread of the virus by implementing health protocols (prokes).
"The red zone was determined because of the increase in cases in the last two weeks," said Banda Aceh Head of Protocol and Communications (Prokopim) Said Fauzan, in Banda Aceh, reported by Antara, Wednesday, June 9.
Responding to this condition, Said appealed to the public to continue to be disciplined in wearing masks, washing hands with soap or hand sanitizer, maintaining distance and avoiding crowds.
Said said, the most effective way to protect yourself and your family from the possibility of being exposed to COVID-19 is only to be disciplined in implementing the prokes set by the government.
"However, we must always pray to Allah SWT so that the COVID-19 pandemic will end soon," he said.
Said added, in order to ensure the progress of the process goes well, the Banda Aceh Task Force team will continue to carry out judicial operations in public places to raids on public roads.
"All this is done to reduce the spread of the corona virus. let's try to keep ourselves from being exposed to the deadly virus, so we can carry out normal activities as usual," said Said Fauzan.
To date, the total number of confirmed positive cases in Banda Aceh has reached 3,678, while 3,097 have recovered, 454 patients are being treated, and 127 have died.
