Cristiano Ronaldo made his World Cup debut in 2006 in Germany. The then 21-year-old Portuguese striker appeared six times, scoring one goal, one penalty, and helping Portugal to fourth place.
Sixteen years later, at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Ronaldo made history by becoming the first to score in five World Cups.
The prolific goalscorer reached the milestone by converting a penalty in the 65th minute of Portugal's 3-2 win over Ghana.
The 2026 World Cup is Ronaldo's sixth participation in the world's biggest tournament. From the previous five World Cups, the Al Nassr player has not managed to lead Portugal to the camp.
It will be interesting to see how Ronaldo's journey in the 2026 World Cup. Will the player who is currently touching the age of 41 be able to make a new history with Portugal?
