Dasco Leads a Meeting between the Government and the DPR to Evaluate Economic Developments

JAKARTA - A meeting between the government and a number of monetary and fiscal authority institutions was held at the parliament complex, Senayan, today. The meeting, led by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, discussed the current development of Indonesia's economic conditions.

The meeting was attended by Mensesneg Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa to Governor of BI Perry Warjiyo. Dasco said the DPR deliberately initiated the meeting as an evaluation forum. In addition, it is also a coordination between fiscal and monetary policies so that they can run in harmony in encouraging economic growth.

"Today, we, the Indonesian House of Representatives, deliberately gathered with friends from monetary and fiscal policy authorities, as well as from the government, to evaluate the economic development," he said.

"At the same time, coordinate how fiscal and monetary can support each other for better economic growth at this time," he continued.

According to him, the results of the discussion at the meeting resulted in a number of agreements. However, the details of the agreement will be conveyed separately by each related institution.

"Alhamdulillah, the results of coordination today have produced several agreements which will certainly be conveyed by each party, both from monetary and fiscal authorities, as well as from the government," he said.
