Not Caring About His Girlfriend, a Man in Ancol Village Takes Away a PCX Motorcycle for Daily Needs
JAKARTA - Members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pademangan Police Station arrested a man with the initials SJ (38) for stealing his girlfriend's motorcycle which occurred at a rented house, Jalan Kampung Muka, RT 09/04, Ancol Village, Pademangan District, North Jakarta.
The perpetrator's action was carried out when the victim with the initials SE (49) left his rented house empty on Eid al-Adha. He also parked his motorcycle in front of his rented house in a locked condition.
Because the situation in the area was quiet, the perpetrator, who was unemployed, then carried out the action.
The perpetrator knew that one of the rented houses was empty and left by the residents. Then the perpetrator broke into the victim's rented house and took all the valuables belonging to the victim.
Not only that, the perpetrator also stole a black Honda PCX motorcycle with the number B 4005 UFK which was parked in front of the victim's rented house.
The modus operandi of the perpetrator was to take the remote control of the PCX motorcycle to start the engine of the motorcycle. After getting the stolen motorcycle, the perpetrator fled.
The victim only knew about the incident when he went home. He was surprised when he saw his motorcycle was gone and his house was in a mess.
The victim suffered a loss of Rp. 39 million. Furthermore, the victim reported the incident to the Pademangan Police.
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Pademangan Police, AKP Muhaiyin Ikhsan said, after receiving the report, his party immediately carried out a pursuit of the perpetrator.
"We then conducted an investigation and obtained information about the whereabouts of the perpetrator. The perpetrator was successfully arrested at his house on Jalan Banyuangi, Kampung Muara Bahari," said AKP Ikhsan to reporters, Friday, May 5, 2026.
The perpetrator was arrested while hiding in his house. Meanwhile, the stolen PCX motorcycle was in another place.
The plan is that the Honda PCX motorcycle will be sold illegally by the perpetrator for Rp. 8 million to the dealer, but has not been sold by the perpetrator.
For further processing, the suspect SJ and the evidence were then taken to the Pademangan Police.
"From the investigation so far, the perpetrator has only committed a theft in Pademangan related to curanmor. Meanwhile, so far he has not been involved in the network, because at the time of carrying out the action he was alone," he said.
The evidence seized was a Honda PCX motorcycle, followed by the victim's STNK and BPKB. The perpetrator plans to use the money from the sale of the motorcycle for daily living expenses.
"This perpetrator is unemployed. He works sporadically. The perpetrator was charged with Article 477 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 7 years in prison," he said.
AKP Muhaiyin Ikhsan appealed to all residents of Pademangan to park their vehicles inside the house area, not on the side of the road.
"Even if it has to be on the side of the road, it must be given a double key," he said.
