Google Cloud Launches AI Startup Innovation Corridor from Southeast Asia to Silicon Valley

JAKARTA - Google Cloud announced an expansion of its collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Digital, Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG), Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC), and Startup and Innovation Hub Ho Chi Minh City (SIHUB) to form an AI startup innovation corridor in Southeast Asia that is connected to Silicon Valley.

The initiative was realized through the launch of Google for Startups Accelerator: Southeast Asia, a cross-country program designed to help startups develop and commercialize AI-based products.

Through engineering support and go-to-market partnerships with Google Cloud, Southeast Asian AI startups are expected to expand their reach to global markets.

This program was announced at the Google for Startups Sprint event at Google Asia Pacific headquarters, which brought together startups, investors, and government leaders.

Registration has been opened for 25 startups from Seed to Series B from six countries who will participate in the accelerator program for three months starting August 2026 without equity.

"Google for Startups Accelerator: Southeast Asia will support AI startups from Seed to Series B from various industries in six countries, together with Komdigi, EnterpriseSG, and NIC and SIHUB, which will provide additional tailored support for startups from Indonesia, Singapore, and Vietnam," said Head of Developer Ecosystems, Asia Pacific, Google Cloud, Sami Kizilbash.

Meanwhile, Google Indonesia Country Director, Veronica Utami, assessed that the Google for Startups program has helped a number of Indonesian startups increase their AI capabilities.

He gave examples of Analitica, which developed adaptive AI tutors for more than 200,000 students, DayaTani with an agronomy AI agent for farmers, and Nexmedis, which provides AI-based consultation diagnosis and transcription solutions for health workers.

"Our collaboration with Komdigi in this innovation corridor will connect more local founders with world-class resources and global technology centers, so that they can build, own, and develop solutions that support national priorities and meet the needs of diverse Indonesian society," said Veronica.

As part of the program, participants will take part in residencies in California and gain access to Google Cloud AI technologies, including TPUs, Agentic Data Cloud, Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, as well as cloud credits support of up to US$350,000 (Rp6.3 billion) for the development of AI solutions.
