Next Week, LRT Jabodebek Will Test Adding Travel Frequency during Morning Rush Hours
In the trial, KAI added one trip to two relationships with high demand rates. For the Jatimulya-Dukuh Atas BSI relationship, the additional trip will depart at 07.14 WIB, between the regular schedule at 07.08 WIB and 07.16 WIB.
Meanwhile, on the Harjamukti-Dukuh Atas BSI relationship, additional trips will be operated at 07.24 WIB, between the regular schedule at 07.22 WIB and 07.30 WIB.
Manager of Public Relations of the Jabodebek LRT, Radhitya Mardika, said that the trial of adding frequencies in the morning was carried out based on the pattern of user movement which showed the high volume of people in the morning time range.
"The trial of adding frequencies is a KAI adaptive step in responding to the mobility needs of LRT Jabodebek users during the morning rush hour. KAI sees an increase in the density of LRT Jabodebek users, especially at the main departure stations to the activity center in Jakarta," he said in a statement. official, Friday, June 5.
Based on the operational data of the Jabodebek LRT, the volume of users on weekdays from 06.00 to 08.00 WIB was recorded as quite high at a number of stations. Harjamukti Station was the highest with an average of 6,224 users per day.
Followed by Cikunir 1 Station with 3,274 users per day, Jatimulya Station with 2,786 users per day, and Jatibening Baru Station with an average of 2,638 users per day.
Meanwhile, Cikoko Station, which is integrated with the Commuter Line and Transjakarta KRL services, also recorded an average of 3,432 users of the Jabodebek LRT per day during the morning rush hour period.
Through the operation of this KLB, KAI continues to run services normally by optimizing the operating pattern at time slots that have higher travel needs. These efforts are expected to help distribute users evenly while reducing the queue density at stations and within the train set.
KAI emphasized that it would continue to evaluate the travel patterns of users to ensure that the Jabodebek LRT service is safer, more comfortable, and able to meet the needs of the growing urban mobility of the community.
