MHU Inaugurates Sungai Payang Ilir Village Office, Strengthens Social Infrastructure in the Mining Circle Region
JAKARTA - PT Multi Harapan Utama (MHU), a subsidiary of MMS Resources under MMS Group Indonesia (MMSGI), inaugurated the Sungai Payang Ilir Village Office in Loa Kulu District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. This inauguration is a form of collaboration between the company, village government, community, and working partners in supporting the strengthening of public services and village government governance in the mining circle area.
The development of this facility is supported through the MHU Community Development and Empowerment Program (PPM) with the company's working partners. The new village office is expected to become a better service center as well as strengthen the capacity of village governments in carrying out development functions at the village level.
President Director of MHU, Kemal Djamil Siregar, emphasized that the development of social infrastructure is part of the company's commitment to provide direct benefits to the surrounding community.
"For MHU, the existence of a company must provide tangible benefits to the community. The village office is not just a physical building, but a service center and a shared space that supports the development of the village. We hope that this facility can be used as best as possible to support public services and development activities in Sungai Payang Ilir," said Kemal, in his statement, Friday, June 5.
This inauguration marks the third contribution of MHU in the construction of village public facilities in less than a year. Previously, MHU had also completed the General Meeting Hall (BPU) Building of Jembayan Dalam Village and the Jembayan Tengah Village Office - both of which were built to support community activities and strengthen the function of village government services.
The Regent of Kutai Kartanegara, dr. Aulia Rahman Basri, M.Kes., appreciates the synergy that has been established between the local government, the community, and the private sector.
"Collaboration between the government, business world, and society is the key to the success of regional development. We appreciate the commitment of MHU which continues to support the development and empowerment of the community. The presence of public facilities like this will provide real benefits and support sustainable development in Kutai Kartanegara," he said.
The series of inaugurations was also filled with a joint tree planting activity, coinciding with World Environment Day which is commemorated every June 5. This activity symbolizes a joint commitment to maintaining a balance between development and environmental preservation.
MHU's commitment to community empowerment has previously received national recognition. The Equal Education Program for Packages A, B, and C, which MHU runs, has led the company to win the Indonesia Best CSR Awards 2026, a program that has helped hundreds of people gain access to education while opening wider opportunities to improve their quality of life.
Through the Community Development and Empowerment Program, MHU will continue to strengthen collaboration with local governments, communities, and various stakeholders to create sustainable benefits for the areas around the company's operations.
