The case of the Minister of Imipas who cannot disturb public services, the Palace asks for services to continue to go on.
JAKARTA - The Presidential Palace ensures that the legal process that ensnares the Deputy Minister of Immigration and Corrections must not interfere with public services.
The Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said President Prabowo Subianto had signed a letter of dismissal of the Deputy Minister of Immigration and Corrections who was undergoing legal proceedings.
However, the government asked all levels of the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections to continue to carry out their duties as usual.
"We have coordinated with the Minister of Immigration and Corrections to ensure that this incident should not interfere at all with the service to the public," said Prasetyo at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Thursday (4/6).
According to Prasetyo, for the time being the government has not decided who will fill the position of deputy minister.
However, the ministry's operational activities are believed to continue to run normally because all tasks and functions can still be carried out directly by the minister.
Prasetyo emphasized that the government respected the ongoing legal process. At the same time, the government also appreciated the steps of law enforcement officials who continue to handle various cases of alleged corruption.
He admitted that the government was concerned because in the near future there were cases related to alleged corruption.
Even so, the government does not want the problems that befall state officials to have an impact on public services that the community needs every day.
Therefore, coordination with the ministry's leadership was immediately carried out immediately after the case surfaced.
