Suaraga Fest Held in Solo: Combine Elements of Music, Culture, and Healthy Lifestyle
Solo - Solo is preparing to welcome a new era as an urban destination that balances traditional heritage and modern lifestyles. Through a strategic collaboration between Boss Creator, MADHAUS, and Vindes, a multisensory festival titled Suaraga Fest is ready to be held in the cultural heritage area of Balekambang Park, Solo, on July 4 and 5.
This festival is designed as a cultural movement to confirm Solo as The Wellness City of Java. For two full days, visitors will be presented with a mix of music performances, health (wellness) activities, strengthening the local community, and experiences exploring the corners of the city.
Riandika Winandatama as the Director of Boss Creator explained, this initiative was born from the great potential possessed by the City of Solo in combining creative energy with original cultural values that are still closely maintained.
"Through Suaraga, we want to introduce Solo as a city with such strong cultural and creative energy. Suaraga is the starting point of a destination for a balanced life that is rooted in cultural heritage, but is still relevant and close to today's urban generation," said Riandika in a press conference in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Thursday, June 4, 2026.
This step also received full support from the Surakarta City Government. The presence of new creative spaces is considered very crucial for the local young generation who need a platform to network and express themselves.
Solo Mayor, Respati Achmad Ardianto, emphasized that the holistic health and fitness concept is actually not foreign to the Javanese people. This festival is the right momentum to repackage this potential on a wider scale.
"Solo has strong cultural roots in wellness practices. Therefore, we want to raise Java Wellness as part of the cultural identity of this city," said Reepati.
"Through the rebranding efforts of Solo together with Suaraga, we are also committed to supporting the community in the Solo creative industry in particular and wellness actors to continue to grow and provide wider benefits for the wider community," he continued.
From the entertainment line, Suaraga Fest brings a number of big names in the Indonesian music industry, ranging from MALIQ & D'Essentials, Sore, Nadhif Basalamah, Silampukau, Fanny Soegi, Ali, Ucupop, to a special performance by Man Osman & Traffic Jam which will bring a keroncong music arrangement.
Furthermore, the vocalist of MALIQ & D'Essentials, Angga Puradiredja, also gave his appreciation for the hybrid concept carried by this festival. According to him, this cross-disciplinary approach makes traditional values easier to be accepted by young people.
"In our opinion, Suaraga's presence should be appreciated as an effort to connect many elements in one experience, music, culture, community, to the balance of life. This approach makes culture feel more alive, closer, and can be enjoyed by a wider generation," said Angga.
Apart from the music stage, one of the main attractions of Suaraga Fest is the raga health session which is guided by reliable national practitioners, including actor and yoga instructor, Anjasmara, as well as Laila Munaf and Amanda Tasning. Activities offered include yoga, mat pilates, to mass Physical Fitness Gymnastics (SKJ) in the open green area.
For visitors who are looking for spiritual depth and tranquility, there is also an exclusive program entitled Limited Premium Raga which collaborates with Rumah Atsiri Indonesia.
This premium session adopts the philosophy of balancing the life of Javanese people through the Beksan Laku Jawi ritual, Laras Wening, and Racik Candra Raksi which combines meditation, movement, and aroma therapy.
To build stronger ties with local residents, organizers also prepared various pre-event activities such as Mlaku Santai and a cycling action to explore the city (Pit-Pitan City Cycling Experience). Not to be missed, an interactive discussion room about the dynamics of the creative industry with Vincent Rompies and Soleh Solihun will also be presented in the sidelines of the festival.
