CIANJUR - The Cianjur Regency Government, West Java, issued a circular regarding the ban on holding wedding receptions as an effort to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19 in the region.
"The prohibition is stated in the Cianjur Regent's SE No. 003/3780/Kesra, concerning the prohibition of all forms of activities that have the potential to create crowds and crowds," said Cianjur COVID-19 Information and Coordination Center Spokesperson, Dr. Yusman Faisal in Cianjur, Wednesday. , June 9th.
He explained, to avoid the reoccurrence of contagion due to crowds, especially during wedding receptions, the Regent of Cianjur, Herman Suherman, immediately took anticipatory steps that took effect from June 8, until a time limit could not be determined.
However, in the SE, the implementation of the marriage contract can still be carried out with a number of conditions such as only the families of the bride and groom and no crowds of guests, the prohibition also applies to activities that have the potential to cause crowds and crowds.
"Essentially, the ban also applies to other activities that have the potential to cause crowds, so that it can cause transmission of COVID-19," he said.
The Regent of Cianjur, Herman Suherman, explained that the first celebration cluster took place in Cibinong District. His party appealed to residents to continue to comply with health protocols and not to hold activities that could potentially invite crowds.
"Don't ignore the prokes because until now, transmission of a dangerous virus is still happening, so cooperation from all parties is needed to prevent and anticipate transmission," he said.
It was previously reported that the Cianjur COVID-19 Task Force found 35 people from two villages in Cibinong Subdistrict, positive for COVID-19 after a rapid antigen test was carried out, dozens of these people were included in the first wedding reception cluster in Cianjur, so they were self-isolated and quarantined.
Spokesperson for the Cianjur COVID-19 Information and Coordination Center, Dr Yusman Faisal, said the exposure of dozens of residents from the two villages, Padasuka and Cimaskara, started with a wedding celebration held by a resident.
"The large number of invited guests who came, made the task force from the local health center carry out a quick test and swab the atingen at the location of the celebration of 50 invited guests and 35 people were found positive for COVID-19," he said.
