Kuwait airspace closed, IndiGo suspends all flights till June 4
JAKARTA - Indian airline IndiGo has temporarily suspended all flights to and from Kuwait after the country's airspace is still closed. Passengers are asked not to immediately go to the airport before checking the flight status.
According to a report by Gulf News, quoted Wednesday, June 3, the decision was announced by IndiGo through a travel notice on its official X account. All Kuwait routes are suspended until 12:00 on June 4, 2026.
IndiGo said the move was taken as a precaution. Passenger and crew safety were the main reasons.
The airline also apologized for the disruption, which could affect travel plans, including the schedule of subsequent passengers.
IndiGo said it was continuing to coordinate with the relevant aviation authorities and monitoring the latest developments.
Flights will be reopened after conditions allow and the air route is deemed safe. A safe air route means that the flight route can be flown by aircraft without operational risks that are dangerous.
Affected passengers are asked to visit IndiGo's official website to see the available options. The airline provides assistance for rescheduling or a full refund.
Passengers should check the flight status before going to the airport. In the closure of the airspace, coming early does not guarantee that the plane can take off faster.
