Prabowo to MBG Executive: Don't be ready to work seriously, please step aside

BOGOR - President Prabowo Subianto gave a stern warning to the implementers of the Free Nutritious Meal Program or MBG. In front of thousands of participants in the national consolidation of the program, Prabowo emphasized that the interests of the people should not be lost by other interests.

"If you don't want to work well, please step aside. The important thing is the people's interests above all interests," said Prabowo when attending the MBG National Consolidation at the SICC, Bogor, West Java, Wednesday, June 3.

Prabowo's tone was firm. He repeatedly emphasized the nutritious meal program was not an ordinary project, but a program that directly touched the basic needs of the community.

The event, which was held by the National Nutrition Agency or BGN, was attended by 12,173 participants and 5,873 MBG implementation partners from various regions in Indonesia.

Prabowo said the success of the program was not enough to rely solely on policies at the center. Implementation in the field is the main determinant, ranging from food distribution, service quality, to the discipline of officers.

"Feeding is a noble job and must succeed," said Prabowo.

He also expressed his appreciation to officers and partners who work in remote areas with challenging terrain and distribution that is not light.

"Thank you for your service in remote and difficult places," he said, to applause from the participants.

The MBG program itself is one of the largest programs in the Prabowo government because it targets millions of recipients in various regions.
