Jabodetabek Weather Thursday, June 4, Jakarta Clear Cloudy and Light Rain in the Afternoon
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the weather in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas on Thursday, June 4, will be dominated by cloudy to cloudy conditions in the morning and afternoon. However, light rain is still potentially occurring in a number of areas in the afternoon and evening.
In the DKI Jakarta area, the weather is expected to be sunny and cloudy since morning. Entering the afternoon, light rain is likely to fall in South Jakarta and East Jakarta, while other areas tend to be cloudy. The air temperature ranges from 25 to 33 degrees Celsius with a humidity level of 52-91 percent.
Meanwhile, the Bogor area is predicted to experience cloudy weather in the morning to afternoon before potentially being hit by light to moderate rain in the afternoon and evening. The Puncak area and its surroundings still need to be aware of local rain which can cause slippery roads and reduced visibility.
In the Bekasi area, the weather is predicted to be sunny and cloudy in the morning and cloudy in the afternoon. Light rain is potentially occurring in the afternoon to evening with air temperatures ranging from 25-32 degrees Celsius. Similar conditions are also predicted to occur in Depok and Tangerang.
BMKG stated that there is currently no early warning for active weather for the Jabodetabek area. However, the public is still advised to be aware of changes in weather that can occur quickly, especially in the afternoon and evening.
In general, the weather conditions at the beginning of June are still influenced by regional atmospheric dynamics. BMKG noted that the potential for rain in a number of regions in Indonesia can still occur even though the dry air mass has begun to strengthen as the dry season progresses in some areas.
The BMKG itself has issued early warnings and designated several areas in the alert status for the potential impact of weather during this transition season. Weather characteristics in this period often trigger the formation of local rain with a short duration but have varying intensities.
Therefore, the public is urged to always carry rain protection equipment and monitor weather developments periodically through official channels.
