Kejaksaan Sebut Pejabat BGN Raup Insentif Miliaran dari MBG

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) has named the former Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana (DH) along with two former deputy heads of the BGN as suspects in the alleged corruption case of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program management period 2025 - 2026.

Director of Investigation (Dirdik) of the Attorney General's Office for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi revealed that the three suspects were suspected of abusing their authority in appointing partners of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) which was the executor of the MBG program.

According to Syarief, the MBG program which is a national priority program should be managed by foundations that meet the requirements and are appointed through a transparent mechanism. However, in practice, a number of SPPG partner foundations are suspected of being used as a means to commit corruption and have links with BGN officials and employees.

"The foundations appointed as SPPG partners are foundations that are used as a means for crime and affiliated with BGN officials or employees who do not meet the requirements to become SPPG partners. However, they are still appointed by making verification arrangements on the BGN partner portal with the attention of the suspects," said Syarief, Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

Syarif revealed that the determination of the suspect was made after investigators examined a number of witnesses and found at least two sufficient evidence.

The three suspects who were appointed were DH as Head of BGN for the period August 2024 to July 2, 2026, SS as Deputy Head of BGN for Operational Nutrition Fulfillment for the period 17 September 2025 to July 2, 2026, and LP as Deputy Head of BGN for Organizational Development and Institutional Support for the period 22 October 2024 to July 2, 2026.

"After undergoing a series of examinations, brothers DH, SS, and LP were named suspects in the investigation of alleged corruption in the management of the Free Nutritious Meal program at the National Nutrition Agency from 2025 to 2026," he said.

This case began with the investigation of alleged corruption in the management of the MBG Program based on the Investigation Order of the Director of Investigation of Jampidsus dated May 29, 2026.

In its investigation, said Syarief, the Attorney General's Office found evidence of alleged arrangements for the verification and appointment of SPPG partner foundations. The foundations are suspected of receiving incentives worth billions of rupiah every day from the implementation of the MBG program and are affiliated with the suspects.

The MBG program itself was implemented by the government since January 6, 2025 through BGN with the aim of increasing the fulfillment of the Nutritional Adequacy Index (AKG) for schoolchildren.

"The program is supported by a budget with a total budget of Rp. 85.27 trillion in 2025 and Rp. 268 trillion in 2026 sourced from the state budget," he said.

The Attorney General's Office is currently still investigating the flow of funds, the mechanism for appointing SPPG partners, and the possibility of the involvement of other parties in the case, which is referred to as one of the largest corruption cases in the implementation of the government's social programs.

In addition, the suspects are suspected of violating Articles 603 and 604 in conjunction with Article 20 of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code (KUHP), as well as other provisions related to corruption offenses.

"The suspects are currently being detained for the next 20 days at the Salemba Branch Detention Center of the Attorney General's Office and the Salemba Branch Detention Center of the South Jakarta District Attorney's Office," he concluded.
