Strengthen Customer Trust, MPMInsurance Completes Property Insurance Claims

JAKARTA - PT Asuransi Mitra Pelindung Mustika (MPMInsurance) reiterated its commitment to providing protection and services to customers by settling the payment of property insurance claims worth IDR 1,287,042,151 to PT Harum Sari Prima Food Industries.

The claim was filed following the flooding incident that hit the company's production facility in the Balaraja area in January 2026, namely high rainfall that lasted for several days causing the rivers around the factory area to overflow and inundate part of the production facilities, thus disrupting the company's operational activities.

The incident reflects the increasing risk of extreme weather that can have a significant impact on the business world, and in addition to causing damage to assets and production facilities, floods also have the potential to hinder distribution, disrupt supply chains, and suppress company productivity.

Following the claim submission, MPMInsurance conducted a field review process and assisted the customer in the loss assessment stage.

Meanwhile, after all the verification and administrative processes are completed, the company officially completed the payment of the claim on May 13, 2026.

The symbolic handover of the claim payment was carried out by MPMInsurance Marketing Director Poppy Panca, to the Director and Shareholder of PT Harum Sari Prima Food Industries Djoenaidi Djohan.

Poppy said this step confirms the company's consistency in fulfilling its obligations and providing the best service to its customers.

He added that the increasing risk of business due to climate change and extreme weather makes the need for asset protection and risk mitigation strategies increasingly important for business actors.

According to him, insurance companies have a strategic role in helping to maintain operational continuity and strengthening customer business resilience in the midst of various evolving challenges.

"For industrial actors, operational disruptions due to extreme weather changes and natural disasters certainly have an impact that is not easy to sustain business. Our commitment to 'Protect with Certainty, Accompany with Heart' is proven by concrete actions. Our focus is to provide certainty, so that the business operations of customers can immediately return to normal," he said in a statement, Wednesday, June 3.

He emphasized that insurance protection is not only limited to claim settlement when risks occur, but also includes assistance to customers to be more prepared for uncertainty and be able to accelerate the business recovery process.

"This commitment is in line with our efforts to continue to provide quality protection products and services, relevant to customer needs, and provide a sense of security for customers and business actors," he said.

Poppy said that in the midst of increasing extreme weather challenges that are increasingly difficult to predict, MPMInsurance also continues to strengthen its insurance product portfolio to provide optimal protection.
