Tired of being hung without certainty, Mario G Klau releases personal single "Tarik Ulur"

JAKARTA - After exploring a more cheerful and upbeat feel in the song "Salah Kaprah", Mario G Klau is back to greet Indonesian music lovers through his latest work that presents a melancholic, personal pop story, and close to the reality of young love today.

Through the single titled "Tarik Ulur", the 28-year-old musician raises the phenomenon of romance which is often referred to as a relationship without status. This song captures the portrait of a tiring phase when someone has to constantly pursue a commitment from a partner who never gives a clear direction.

The inspiration for this song comes from a combination of observations of the surrounding environment and the singer's personal experience. "Tarik Ulur" describes the dynamics of intense modern closeness, ranging from exchanging messages every day, replying to each other's stories on social media, to changing calls to be more intimate. However, when one party demands clarity, the relationship actually floats.

The A&R from Wecord Evermore Indonesia who oversees this single project revealed that the song creation process is sourced from something very close to Mario's life. The feeling of fatigue due to the uncertain dynamics of the relationship is honestly poured into his lyrics.

In order to translate the emotional unrest into a fitting arrangement, Mario teamed up with the S/EEK producer team to mature his musical concept. This collaboration produced a warm pop composition, light on the ears, but still able to store a deep emotional explosion at the same time.

The biggest challenge in the production process at the studio was how to keep the message of the song from being drowned out by excessive musical arrangements. The harmony between Mario's vocals and the music from the producer was the key to the song's strength.

Musically, the main strength of this talent search winner as a storyteller is again tested. Through the emotional progression of the chord, the listener is invited to walk through the timeline of the relationship: starting with the sweet and blossoming phase of the approach, to slowly being submerged in fatigue and disappointment due to uncertainty.

Meanwhile, the lyrics, "Don't you pull me again, I've had enough, I'm the one who ran, chasing you who is uncertain," became the climax and representative of the voices of many people who are trapped in similar relationships.

For information, the song "Tarik Ulur" which was written by Mario G Klau can be enjoyed on all digital music streaming platforms.
