Amblas Street in Lenteng Agung is still under repair, DKI Police apologize

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Office (Dishub) apologized to the public for the opening of Lenteng Agung Highway in the south direction to Depok which could not be carried out according to plan at 05.00 WIB.

"We understand that this condition has an impact on the mobility of residents who pass through the Lenteng Agung area. For this reason, we apologize for the delay in opening the road and appeal to the public to adjust the travel time and use the alternative routes that have been prepared," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Service Budi Awaluddin, ANTARA, Tuesday.

Based on the progress of work on repairing the underground channel, the opening of the road is carried out gradually, namely the lane on the side of the train track is targeted to be opened starting at 08.00 WIB and the lane on the other side at 11.00 WIB.

Budi said the extension of the work time was needed to ensure that the repair process was completed safely and optimally before the road was used by the community again.

In addition, according to information from the DKI Jakarta Water Resources Office, the delay in completing the work occurred due to the process of closing and sterilizing the area which started at 14.00 WIB.

After the location was declared safe and clean, the new repair work could be carried out in full at 16.00 WIB.

"The safety of workers and road users is the top priority. Therefore, all stages of work must be carried out according to procedures so that the repair results are safe and can be used again by the community," said Budi.

Budi said his party continued to coordinate with the Water Resources Service to accelerate the completion of the work.

Dishub officers are also on standby around the location to arrange traffic and help road users to alternative routes.

Budi appealed to the public to follow the instructions of officers in the field and monitor the latest information through official government channels. The latest developments regarding the opening of the road will continue to be conveyed to the public periodically.
