Volume of Vehicles Heading to Lembang and Cisarua Areas Increases

Cimahi - The Traffic Unit (Satlantas) of the Cimahi Police, West Java, recorded an increase in the volume of vehicles for tourists to the Lembang and Cisarua areas, West Bandung Regency, on Sunday, coinciding with the long weekend.

Kasatlantas Polres Cimahi AKP Aviandre Maliki said that vehicle density occurred on a number of main roads leading to tourist areas, such as Jalan Kolonel Masturi, Jalan Raya Lembang, and Jalan Raya Tangkuban Parahu.

"Today there is a significant increase in vehicle volume compared to yesterday, both from Lembang to Bandung, but more vehicles are moving from top to bottom," he said in Lembang, West Bandung, Sunday.

He said that as many as 80 Satlantas personnel from the Cimahi Police were deployed to carry out security and traffic management during the long holiday period which coincided with Eid al-Adha, Vesak Day, and the birthday of Pancasila.

According to him, personnel were deployed to a number of points prone to vehicle density and supported by mobile officers to help disperse vehicle queues in the field.

"Approximately 80 Satlantas personnel from the Cimahi Police carried out density arrangements and analysis. We are spread out at a number of points and there are mobile officers," he said.

In addition to regulating traffic, his party also handled one traffic accident that occurred in the Parongpong area, West Bandung Regency.

Aviandre said a bus was reported to have fallen into a canal and officers had been deployed to check and process the scene of the crime.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Traffic Police Unit of the Cimahi Police, Ipda Nikmat Nugraha Hidayatullah, said that the density of tourist vehicles was observed at a number of tourist spots in the Lembang area from noon to afternoon.

"We are on standby at points of density. Alhamdulillah so far the wheels of vehicles are still turning and we are also implementing situational one-way traffic engineering," said Nikmat.

He said the vehicle density, among others, occurred on Jalan Kolonel Masturi in Cisarua area, around the Lembang Park & Zoo tourist attraction, the Cikole Graphic Tourism Terminal area, the gate of the Tangkuban Parahu Mountain tourist attraction, to the Lembang Monument area.

Satlantas Cimahi Police urged tourists to comply with the instructions of officers and pay attention to vehicle conditions to maintain smoothness and safety during travel to tourist areas in West Bandung.
