Principal Reveals The Difficulty Of PJJ: 20 Out Of 32 Students Participate In Online Learning Only Alhamdulillah

JAKARTA - The face-to-face learning (PTM) trial in Jakarta which starts today is expected to be a solution for students who have difficulty participating in online distance learning (PJJ).

This was agreed by the Principal of SD Negeri Duri Kepa 03 Sri Sumiati. Today, the SDN in the Kebon Jeruk area, West Jakarta is participating in the first phase of PTM trial.

Sri admitted that there are a number of students who have difficulty implementing PJJ because they do not have a device to participate in online learning.

"PJJ has a problem with the equipment, HP. Sometimes (one family) has a cellphone, one is used by three. Or there is a cellphone that the parents brought first, they will work on it later in the afternoon. June.

Due to these obstacles, said Sri, as a result, students cannot listen directly from the teacher.

"Sometimes the teacher wants to (teaching via) zoom in a week several times but can't. For one time (online learning) that's not all, 32 children who join. have to wait a long time (until students gather)," he explained.

Meanwhile, students who cannot participate in online learning, Sri continued, usually do the assignments given after studying. The problem is that students find it difficult to do assignments because they do not understand the learning material.

Therefore, Sri hopes that face-to-face learning at school can reduce PJJ obstacles that exist during the COVID-19 pandemic. "At the very least, if there are students who have difficulty with the material, they can directly ask the teacher," he said.

For information, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government held a trial of face-to-face learning (PTM) phase 1 in 226 schools. This number comes from 143 schools that have passed the training from 308 schools, as well as 83 schools that have previously piloted PTM projects.

Duri Kepa 03 State Elementary School, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta was one of those participating in the face-to-face learning trial (PTM) today. Today PTM is conducted on 5th grade students.

In class, students who take PTM are only 50 percent of the total students in one class. Laying each student's desk is spaced.

Students with absent numbers 1 to 16 study face-to-face, while absent numbers 17 to 32 are still learning online. On the other hand, on Friday, grade 5 students with absent numbers 17 to 32 studied face-to-face, while absentee numbers 1 to 16 studied online.

"On Monday and next Wednesday, PTM will be continued to grade 4 with the same capacity distribution. Then the following Friday will take turns, and so on," said Sri.

Meanwhile, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, lessons are not held at schools. All students study online. At that time, the school was cleaned using a liquid disinfectant.
