Police are still investigating the beating of a police officer at the Hangout Tanjungpinang Night Entertainment Venue

JAKARTA - The Tanjungpinang Police, Riau Islands (Kepri) are investigating a case of alleged beating of a police officer with the initials G at a nightclub (THM) Hangout, Jalan Aisyah Sulaiman, on Sunday (24/5).

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Tanjungpinang Police, AKP Wamilik Mabel, said the investigation was carried out after his party received a report from the victim G, who was a member of the Bukit Bestari Police.

"The reporter is a member of the Tanjungpinang Police, while the report is from the management of THM Hangout," said AKP Wamilik as reported by ANTARA, Friday, May 29.

The head of the police explained that the alleged beating occurred at the THM Hangout on Sunday (24/5), around 03.00 WIB.

The incident began with a misunderstanding between the reporter and the reporter, which led to the beating of the G Police officer. In this incident, the reporter G suffered bruises on several parts of his body.

AKP Wamilik continued, currently his party is collecting a number of evidence, including CCTV cameras that recorded the alleged beating incident.

"We are finding out who hit, and how many people. We have also held CCTV for analysis," he said.

The police also examined six witnesses related to the incident.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit confirmed that his party had not arrested the alleged perpetrators of the beating.

"We have not arrested anyone because we are still conducting further investigations," said AKP Wamilik.
