Raising Rp3.5 Trillion, F9 Becomes The Best-Selling Hollywood Film Amid The Pandemic
JAKARTA - The latest Fast & Furious film, titled F9, became the highest-grossing Hollywood film during the pandemic, beating Godzilla vs. Kong.
Launching Variety today, Wednesday, June 9, F9 earned revenues of 250 million US dollars or Rp. 3.5 trillion. This revenue was dominated by sales in Chinese theaters which reached 8.8 million US dollars last week.
F9, which has been broadcast since May 25, also received satisfactory results in South Korea and Russia.
This acquisition does not include the United States, which has just broadcast F9 on June 25.
In addition, blockbuster films such as A Quiet Place 2 and The Conjuring 3 are also competing in theaters.
F9 is one of the films in the last series of Fast & Furious stories. This film still stars Vin Diesel with John Cena and Michelle Rodriguez where they are again involved in a fight.
For viewers in Indonesia, Film F9 will air from June 16 in all cinema networks in the country.
