Minister of PKP: Land Provided by the Ministry of ATR/BPN is Used for the Development of Rusun

JAKARTA - Minister of Housing and Spatial Planning (PKP) Maruarar Sirait (Ara) revealed that the land given by the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) is used for the construction of apartment buildings and satellite cities for the community.

"Later we will prioritize for apartment houses (rusun) and also satellite cities," said Ara in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Friday, May 29.

Regarding the flats, he said, it was indeed a concern from President Prabowo and Housing Task Force Chairman Hashim Djojohadikusumo.

Ara said that currently his party is checking the land given by the ATR Ministry in 188 locations.

"We are now checking the land that was given by the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN Nusron Wahid," he said.

For information, the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) strengthens support for the National Strategic Program (PSN) through the Development of Vertical Housing Settlements and Satellite Cities.

Minister of ATR/Head of BPN Nusron Wahid said that support was provided by providing large-scale land in various regions of Indonesia.

The ATR/BPN Ministry has prepared potential land that is spread across a number of regions, including on the islands of Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi.

The total land indication in Indonesia that has been recorded has reached more than 129,000 hectares.

"Our initial data shows that there are approximately 129,764 hectares of land that have been identified. However, what is really potential to be utilized at this time is around 37,709 hectares," said Minister Nusron.

For urban areas, the government prioritizes the development of vertical housing, especially for low-income people. Meanwhile, for the development of satellite cities, land with a wider scale is prepared.

Minister of Housing and Spatial Planning (PKP) Maruarar Sirait stated that land availability is a key factor in the success of PSN.

"We have a simple concept for implementing the 3 Million House program. We want land for the construction of these houses to be available," he said.
